Narragansett Police Log: October 19 and 20, 2012

Police arrest two for warrants, and also break up a party on Clara Lane.

Warwick Man Arrested for Warrant, License Violation

Matthew C. Galasso, 29, of 585 Colefarm Road, Warwick, was arrested at about 3:45 p.m. on Oct. 19 and charged with driving with a suspended license. Police said a Third Division District Court warrant was also out for his arrest for not appearing at a court hearing related to a suspended license charge.

According to police, an officer traveling behind a black Toyota Corolla on Point Judith Road near Clarke Road noticed that it was swerving. A traffic stop was made near Sunset Farm as a result.

Police said a background check of the driver – Galasso – revealed the warrant. He was arrested without incident.

According to police, Galasso was processed at headquarters and then released at about 7:30 p.m.

Narragansett Man Arrested for Warrant

Jonathan R. Sullivan, 19, of 40 Shagbark Road, Narragansett, was arrested at about 1:14 p.m. on Oct. 20. Police said a Fourth Division District Court warrant was out for his arrest for failing to appear at a court hearing related to a Narragansett police charge of trespassing.

According to police, officers were made aware of Sullivan’s warrant, and responded to his residence. He was arrested without incident, processed at police headquarters and then released at about 3 p.m.

Party Broken Up on Clara Lane

At about 11:55 p.m. on Oct. 20, police received a report of a loud party at 8 Clara Lane.

According to police, about 75 to 100 people were gathered at the home, with five to eight cars illegally parked outside. Police said the party was broken up quickly with the help of the renters.

The tenants were identified as Steven O. Dangoia, Zachary Wende and Nicholas Daniels, 20, and Robert M. Pezzillo, 19. Police said all four signed the public nuisance form.
