SK Police Log: December 5 and 6, 2012
A couple is charged with domestic offenses, and a teen is charged with felony assault with a screwdriver.

Husband, Wife Charged With Domestic Offenses
Joseph R. Miller, 52, of 52 Petal Lane, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 8:11 a.m. on Dec. 6 and charged with domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

His wife, Melanie J. Boylan, 50, of 52 Petal Lane, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 12:58 p.m. on Dec. 6 and charged with domestic disorderly conduct.
According to police, warrants were issued for both following an incident on Nov. 30. Details of this incident were not included in police reports of the two’s arrest.

Police said Miller was processed and then released to Fourth Division District Court at about 8:54 a.m. Police said Boyland was processed and then released to Fourth Division District Court at about 1:38 p.m.
Teenager Charged With Felony Assault With Screwdriver
A 16-year-old South Kingstown boy, who is a student at South Kingstown High School, was charged with felony assault, vandalism and disorderly conduct following an incident at about 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 6 at the Liberty Lane Child and Family Group Home.
According to police, staffers at the home said the boy got upset and refused to take his medicine. As a result, he became unruly, taking a screwdriver from an officer and using it to damage a couch, walls and a Honda Accord in the parking lot.
Police said that the boy did not make contact with the screwdriver against an employee, but he had tried to, and as a result, was charged with felony assault. The boy was arrested without incident at the intersection of Kingstown and Watson roads.
South Kingstown Man Charged With Assault
Daniel J. Ziobro, 48, of 168 Indian Trail South, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 9:43 p.m. on Dec. 5 and charged with assault.
According to police, Ziobro assaulted a neighbor during an argument on Nov. 10, but the warrant for his arrest was unable to be served until Dec. 5. Police said two people at the neighbor’s home provided statements against Ziobro.
Police said Ziobro was arrested, processed and then released at about midnight.
