Pawcatuck Woman, Substitute Teacher Charged With DWI

Michelle M. Gaby, 45, of 12 Pawcatuck Ave., Pawcatuck, CT, was arrested at about 9:26 p.m. on Nov. 28 and charged with driving under the influence, and cited for not wearing a seat belt, laned roadway violations and failure to stop at a red light. Police said Gaby is a substitute teacher in the New London School System.

According to police, an officer noted a Honda driven by Gaby go through a red light at the Dale Carlia intersection, forcing several other cars to stop to avoid a collision. Police said the officer followed the car for a half mile with sirens on, but the car didn’t pull over.

Police said the car finally stopped when it hit a parked car on Main Street near Cleveland Street. Police said the driver – Gaby – was confused, and gave multiple answers from where she was coming from: D’Angelo’s, the Wakefield Mall, Hartford and Caswell Street in Narragansett.

According to police, Gaby consented to field sobriety tests, which she failed. As a result, she was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Police said Gaby consented to a blood alcohol content test, which revealed a level of .000. Police said Gaby also consented to a blood draw.

According to police, Gaby had a prescription pill bottle, and she told police she was on numerous medications. Results for the blood test were still pending.

South Kingstown Man Charged With License Violations

Roger J. Kroha, 41, of 11 Sherman Road, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 5:33 p.m. on Nov. 28 and charged with driving with a suspended license and cited for operation of an unregistered vehicle.

According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Route 1 near Jerry Brown Farm Road ran the plates of a pick-up truck. The registered owner – Kroha – came back with a suspended license, so a traffic stop was made.

Police said a background check confirmed that the driver was Kroha, and he was arrested without incident. He was also cited for driving an unregistered vehicle.

According to police, Kroha was processed at headquarters and then released at about 6:40 p.m.

Narragansett Man Arrested on Superior Court Warrant

Kyle J. Rodriguez, 28, of 6 Rockland St., Apt. A, Narragansett, was arrested at about 4:35 p.m. on Nov. 26. Police said a Washington County Superior Court warrant was out for Rodriguez’s arrest for a South Kingstown police charge of fraudulent use of a credit card.

According to police, an officer familiar with Rodriguez from past arrests knew there was a warrant out for him, and saw him in the passenger seat of a car on Old Tower Hill Road.

A traffic stop was made, and Rodriguez’s identity and warrant were confirmed. He was arrested without incident and held for arraignment on Nov. 27.
