Tips To Celebrate A COVID-19-Safe Halloween In Rhode Island
The Department of Health encouraged Rhode Islanders to keep groups small, wear masks inside and maintain distance from others.
RHODE ISLAND — Halloween is just a few weeks away, and families across Rhode Island are preparing for a night of safe fun. Unlike last year, Halloween celebrations will be possible, according to the state's Department of Health.
When it comes to trick-or-treating, the department encouraged families to keep groups small, and to maintain distance between groups. When indoors, mask-wearing is encouraged, especially when it comes to children who are not yet eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention encouraged taking the same general precautions this holiday season that have been best practice throughout the pandemic. These include wearing a mask in crowded indoor settings, keep events outdoor if possible, and avoid any gatherings if you are sick or have symptoms of COVID-19.
