Two Men Accuse Each Other of Fighting

Police arrest two South Kingstown men after they accuse one another of fighting over noise coming from an apartment. South Kingstown police logs from March 21, March 22, March 23 and March 24, 2013.

Two South Kingstown Men Charged With Assault, Disorderly Conduct Over Noise

John G. Mischler, 34, of 164 Allen Ave., South Kingstown, and Shane R. Dimon, 31, of 164 Allen Ave., South Kingstown, were arrested at about 7:28 a.m. on March 24 and charged with assault and disorderly conduct.

According to police, both Dimon and Mischler claimed that a fight broke out over the noise coming from Dimon’s apartment. Each claimed that the other was the aggressor in the fight.

Police said that after interviews with both, and with two other witnesses, both were arrested. Police said Mischler was processed and then released at about 2:18 p.m., followed by Dimon at 2:34 p.m.

Wakefield Man Charged With Domestic Vandalism

Kyle J. Moran, 20, of 21 Deer Ridge Way, Wakefield, was arrested at about 7:55 p.m. on March 24 and charged with domestic vandalism.

According to police, they received a report of Moran destroying items at a South Kingstown home. Police said an investigation revealed that Moran had been drinking that night, and upset with several family members, when he destroyed several items in the home.

Police said Moran was arrested without incident. A no-trespass order was issued for the home. He was held for arraignment at Fourth Division District Court at 9 a.m. on March 25.

South Kingstown Woman Arrested for Warrant

Shakeyla Hazard, 21, of 279 Church St., South Kingstown, was arrested at about 7:45 p.m. on March 22. Police said a Fourth Division District Court warrant was out for Hazard’s arrest.

According to police, an officer traveling behind a purple Kia SUV on Route 1 near the Wakefield cutoff noted that the registered owner – Hazard – had a warrant out for her arrest.

Police said a traffic stop confirmed that Hazard was driving the SUV, and she was arrested without incident. Police said Westerly police picked her up from South Kingstown Police Headquarters at 9 p.m.

Charlestown Man Arrested for Domestic Warrant

Jonathan Wilkes, 40, of 11 Crosslands St., Charlestown, was arrested at about 10:30 a.m. on March 24. Police said a Charlestown police warrant was out for Wilkes’ arrest.

According to police, a bulletin was issued for Wilkes’ truck, at first for a well-being check. However, after police made a traffic stop on Route 138 near the train station, the bulletin was modified to include a warrant for Wilkes’ arrest for Charlestown police charges of domestic disorderly conduct.

Police said Wilkes was arrested without incident. He was held until Charlestown police arrived at 12:02 p.m.
