Obituary: Adrienne A. (McBride) Potter, 70, Former NKHS Secretary
Mrs. Potter was also Past President of the American Legion Post 12 Ladies Auxiliary.

Adrienne A. (McBride) Potter, 70, of North Kingstown, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, at South County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William F. McBride, Sr. and Madeline (Dow) McBride. She was the beloved wife of George H. “Hilt” Potter, Jr.
Mrs. Potter worked as Secretary for North Kingstown High School until her retirement. She was a Communicant of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church and was the Past President of the American Legion Post 12 Ladies Auxiliary.
Besides her husband, she leaves her daughter, Gretchen Stanton of North Kingstown and two stepsons, Michael J. Potter of Warwick and George H. Potter of North Kingstown. Cherished grandmother of Mitchell R. Stanton and step-grandmother of Jade Henley, Olivia Potter, and Amelia Potter. She was the sister of the late William F. McBride, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 10, at 10 a.m. in St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 84 Exeter Road, Exeter. Burial in Elm Grove Cemetery will be private. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. in The Cranston-Murphy Funeral Home of Wickford, 140 West Main St., Wickford Village, North Kingstown. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church will be appreciated.
