Claire E. Shea, 93: Former LPN at Rhode Island Hospital

Claire E. Shea, 93, of North Kingstown, passed away at home on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013. She was the wife of the late Eugene J. Shea, Sr.

Born in West Warwick, RI a daughter of the late Thomas E. and Viola (Driscoll) Carbary. 

Mrs. Shea was a Licensed Practical Nurse at RI Hospital, St. Elizabeth Home, and Tockwotton Home where she worked for 32 years before retiring.

She was the mother of Eugene J. Shea, Jr., Kathleen Shea and the late Carol Shea. Grandmother of Joanne Knapp, Carolyn Wood, David Hale, Lisa Caraman, Christine Shea, Daniel Shea and the late Kimberly Hale, James Hale, Jr., and James E. Wood. Sister of Cecelia Harris, Hope Jacobs and the late Warren, Terrance, Thomas, Norbert and Eileen Carbary. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service is Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation scheduled for Wednesday morning from 9 to 11 a.m.
