Donald P. Chirnside, 80: Army Veteran of the Korean War
Mr. Chirnside was also a member of the Little Rhody Model "A" Club, the RI Beekeepers Association and Eastern Apricultural Society.

Donald P. Chirnside, 80, of North Kingstown, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Darelius) Chirnside for 58 years.
Born in Lincoln, he was a son of the late Peter and Jane (Rigby) Chirnside. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran. He was a graduate of Bryant College.
Mr. Chirnside was a self-employed businessman before retiring. He was a member of the Little Rhody Model "A" Club, the RI Beekeepers Association and Eastern Apricultural Society where he formerly served as Treasurer. He was a member of East Greenwich United Methodist Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Jeffrey P. Chirnside and his wife Deborah of Bristol, Jay D. Chirnside of South Kingstown and Jon T. Chirnside, Det. Sgt. EGPD, of West Greenwich; a daughter, Jill Chirnside of North Kingstown; a brother, Kenneth Chirnside of East Greenwich; a sister, Carolyn Chirnside of Narragansett; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He was the brother of the late Dorothy Chirnside.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. in the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. Private burial with Military Honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
