Exeter Woman Charged with DUI, Obstruction
Police said she initially provided a false name to the officer who stopped her for crossing the double yellow line on Camp Avenue.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI—A 29-year-old Exeter woman has been charged with driving under the influence after she was stopped for swerving in North Kingstown on Friday.
According to a police report, Michaela C. Barry, of 155 Yagoo Valley Road, was stopped at around 1:52 a.m. after an officer driving on Camp Avenue near Post Road saw her car cross the double yellow line.
Once stopped, the officer reported smelling alcohol and Barry reportedly showed signs of intoxication.

Police said Barry refused to complete a field sobriety test at the scene, though she told police she had consumed some alcohol earlier that night.
Police also said that Barry provides a false name and claimed to not have any identification with her when she was first approached by the officer who conducted the traffic stop.

In all, she was charged with driving under the influence, refusing a chemical test and obstruction of justice.
Barry was arraigned and released after pleading innocent in Third Division District Court. She is due to return to court on Jan. 28 for trail.
