Music workshop with Aaron Cote: The Newport BridgeFest features Aaron Cote’s percussion workshop. This FREE event is open to all ages, targeting 5-12. Parents are invited! 18 Valley St., Jamestown. 10 a.m.

Lafayette Band concert: The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown performs free summer concerts, led by Joe Pelosi in his 50th year as conductor. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics to relax and join in the family fun. Pelosi Performance Center at NK Town Beach. 7 p.m.

Traveler’s Talks w/Honore Johnson at Willett Free Library: After growing up in Saunderstown and graduating from North Kingstown High School,  Honore became involved with Rotary International, was selected to be a Rotary Youth Exchange Student and traveled to Peru where she lived for a year. Honore just finished her freshman year at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. Next year she will be studying international relations and conflict resolution at Cornell's ILR School. Come hear her talk about her experiences at Willett Free Library at 7 p.m.

NK Farmers Market: The market takes place in the back of the Brown Street municipal parking lot, by the anchor, every Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. Check it out!

The Kropp Dusters at NK Free Library: The Kropp Dusters are a group of veteran musicians featuring banjo master Mike Kropp, guitarist and singer Bill Henry, bassist and vocalist Jeff Horton, mandolin man and singer Monty McClanahan, and claw-hammer banjo player Lisa Schmitz. Henry, Kropp, and Horton are all former members of Northern Lights. The vocal blend culminates in some fine four-part harmony. Bring chairs or a blanket and a picnic dinner for this concert on the lawn outside the NK Free Library.

On Saturday,

St. John the Divine Church Fair: This annual summer fair has all kinds of great summer comfort foods such as lobster rolls and the Bright Yellow HotDogRod serving hot dogs/chili dogs/burgers/soda and chips. We will have several tables with all types of yard sale items and a children's section for face painting and games. 10 Church Way in Saunderstown. 10 a.m.
