North Kingstown's Caruolo Sworn-In as District Court Associate Judge
James J. Caruolo fills a role created as the state District Court expands the Veterans Treatment Court.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI—North Kingstown's James J. Caruolo was sworn-in as the new Associate Judge of the state District Court today in the State House Rotunda in Providence.
Caruolo fills a new seat created by statute to expand the Veterans Treatment Court's calendar—a role he's well suited for as a Colonel in the Army National Guard. The court was established in 2011 to integrate support and treatment plans for veterans diagnosed with trauma-related disorders in the judicial system.
"I am proud to take on this new role, and grateful to Governor Raimondo for having trust and confidence in my abilities as an attorney and as member of the judiciary," Caruolo said in a statement.
