Obituary: Anne T. "Nancy" Kiernan, 88
Anne T. "Nancy" Kiernan, 88, of North Quidnessett Road, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, January 27, 2016.

Anne T. “Nancy” Kiernan, 88, of North Quidnessett Road, and formerly of Providence, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, January 27, 2016, at Scalabrini Villa Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Kiernan.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Gannon) Toohey.
Nancy worked for the State of Rhode Island, Department of Elderly Affairs for several years before retiring.
A devout Roman Catholic, Nancy was a strong advocate for the Pro-Life Movement, attending rallies both locally and nationally, and a member of the Legion of Mary.
She leaves two sons, Charles J. Kiernan and Kevin P. Kiernan; six daughters, Kathi Miner, Peggy DelGaudio, Mary Puricelli, Anne Barron, Joan Kraus and Maureen O’Connor; two brothers, James Toohey and Martin Toohey; a sister, Evelyn Toohey; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Nacci, a brother, Thomas Toohey, Jr. and a sister, Helen Toohey.
The funeral will be held Monday, at 9:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saint Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Sunday, 2:00 – 5:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mother of Life center, 400 Atwells Avenue, Providence, R.I. 02909 in her memory will be appreciated.
