Obituary: Barbara E. (Wolslegel) Bean, 77

Barbara E. (Wolslegel) Bean, 77, of Greene, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Roberts Health Centre. She was the wife of Donald E. Bean. Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Donald J. Wolslegel and Gertrude I. (Barsalow) Wolslegel.

Mrs. Bean worked as a computer analyst with Stanley Bostitch Company for many years until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Wickford where she enjoyed attending the Saturday evening service with her daughter and son-in-law. She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, gardening, and animals, especially birds and cats.

Besides her husband, she leaves her two loving children: Laurie J. DeRuosi & her husband Dr. Joseph N. DeRuosi of North Kingstown and Mark S. Blackmar & his wife Mary Hillyer of Somersworth, NH. Cherished grandmother of Dylan Blackmar currently stationed in Japan, Jenna Fontaine of Kittery, ME, Erin Blackmar of Greene, Sarah Rouslin of Westerly, Keith Hornberger & Kevin Hornberger, both of Somersworth, NH. She was the sister of Lynn A. Wolslegel & her husband Joseph Malo of Saunderstown and the late Gary D. Wolslegel.

Her Requiem Eucharist will be held Saturday, March 5, 2015 at 11:00 am in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 55 Main Street, Wickford. Burial will be private. Relatives & friends are invited and may call on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown.
