Obituary: Dorothy A. (Synnott) Hunnicutt, 82

Dorothy A. Hunnicutt, 82, of North Kingstown, died peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Kent Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Donald F. Hunnicutt. Born in Jersey City, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Michael and Olga Synnott.

A very beautiful, kind and caring woman who found her pleasure in the simplest of things, Dorothy enjoyed the company of her closest friends and was easy to strike up conversation with folks she had just met. With a great love of music and especially singing, she found much joy in lending her voice to some wonderful tunes on any given karaoke night, her presence and her voice will truly be missed! A patient and giving wife and a mother that any son or daughter would be honored to have. We will love and miss you always.

Besides her husband, she leaves her four loving children: Donald Hunnicutt of Narragansett, Gary M. Hunnicutt, James G.3 Hunnicutt, and Steven Jay Hunnicutt, all of North Kingstown. Cherished grandmother of Benjamin and Linda Lee. She was the sister of Jack Synott and the late Walter Synnott and Annie Synnott.

A Memorial Service and Remembrance Ceremony Luncheon will be held for Mrs. Hunnicutt on Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Calvary Chapel 266 Devil's Foot Road, North Kingstown. The service will begin at 1:30 p.m. For directions please go to: calvarychapelri.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD. For online messages of condolence, kindly visit www.CranstonMurphy.com.
