Obituary: Irene T. Payne, 82

Irene T. Payne (Lydon), 82, of Saunderstown, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 28, 2016. She was the beloved wife of David H. Payne, Sr. for fifty-eight years.

Born in Norwood, MA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Delia (Folan) Lydon.

Mrs. Payne loved animals and enjoyed boating.

In addition to her husband, she was the beloved mother of David Payne, Jr. and his wife Grace of Rehoboth, MA, Sandra Hogan of Coventry and the late Glenn Payne. Irene was the sister of William Lydon of Bellingham, MA and Mary LoDico of Norton, MA. She was a loving grandmother to Ben, Sarah, Alyssa, Jordan and David; great-grandmother to Bryson; and a wonderful aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph Lydon, Elizabeth Dangelo, Catherine Pasquino and Anne Pasquino.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Monday, February 1, 2016 from 4-8pm in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. Her burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to RI Special Olympics will be appreciated.
