One Injured after Potter Road Crash

The victim was transported to the hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI—One person was seriously injured after a crash on Potter Road on Tuesday that caused an SUV to burst into flames.

North Kingstown Firefighters pulled the driver of the vehicle from the car after the crash at around 10:10 a.m., according to the fire department.

Firefighters arrived to find the vehicle fully involved and the driver still inside.

The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries that were described as non life-threatening.

The crash is under investigation. The fire department said that the driver crashed into a pole on a windy section of the road, which might have been a contributing factor.
