Sean S. Mercer, 48, of North Kingstown, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, June 26th. He was born in California and was the beloved son of Gloria A. (Cicchetti) Mercer and the late LCDR Dean Mercer Sr. He is also survived by his brother Dean, his wife Barbara, nephew Richard, and niece Amanda all of Connecticut and his girlfriend Donna Peloquin of North Kingstown.
He was employed for 25 years by Invensys as a systems analyst. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing with his brother, kayaking, biking as well as going to concerts with his friends and family. He was a big fan of the Three Stooges, Curly being his favorite. He was loved by many.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 2, at 10 am at St. Matthew's Church, 15 Francis Ave., Cranston, RI. There will be no calling hours and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Sean's memory to a charity of your choice.
