Thomas J. Theriault, 63: Retired Cranston Firefighter
Mr. Theriault moved to North Kingstown in 1987.

Thomas J. Theriault, CFD Ret., 63, of Linwood Drive, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence after a three-month illness. He was the beloved husband of Wendy P. (Dugan) Theriault with whom he celebrated their 26th anniversary on Jan. 17, 2013.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Robert E. and Nancy R. (Finlay) Theriault, he lived in Cranston before moving to North Kingstown in 1987. For more than twenty years Tom was a firefighter on the Cranston Fire Department. He was also a self-employed contractor.
He was a graduate of Cranston High School East and of Roger Williams College where he played hockey at the interscholastic and collegiate levels. He was a former member of the Rhode Island Army National Guard and an avid sports fan.
Besides his wife he is survived by one son: Jamie E. Silva and his wife Jessica of Cranston; one daughter: Kara Beausoleil; one brother: Michael P. Theriault and his wife Rosemary of Hope Valley and five grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers Jack and Robert "Terry" Theriault, he is also survived by his two sisters-in-law: Kathleen and Shannon Theriault, his nephews and his niece. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Aug. 9, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 139 Ocean Ave., Cranston. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations sent to Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
