Woman, Baby Pulled from Rollover Crash on Post Road

The child is reportedly not hurt, but the woman was transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI—A woman was transported to the hospital along with a young child after a rollover crash on Post Road in North Kingstown on Tuesday.

Witnesses said that a car being driven by two young men made a U-turn, causing a Jeep coming from the opposite direction to abruptly swerve and roll over.

A woman who asked not to be identified said she was at the scene shortly after the crash and watched as firefighters extricated the driver of the Jeep. A baby had been in the rear seat and "a bystander took the car seat out and held him before the ambulance came."

"Once they got her out, she did walk over to her child but she seemed shook up before they made her lay down and take her by ambulance," the witness said.
