Bayberry Road Home Sells for $1.25 Million

The house at 47 Bayberry Road has sold for $1.25 million, according to data from the statewide multiple listing service.

Lila Delman Real Estate was the listing agent for the house, which features $5,000 square feet of living space, stunning waterfront views, a wine cellar, central air, generator, decks, and a kitchen suitable for filming a Food Network TV show.

The house originally went on the market for $1.8 million but the price was reduced to $1.5 million before finally selling this past week for $1.25 million.

Originally built in 1978, the house was completely renovated in 2005 and annual real estate taxes were $27,225 in 2003.

The buyer was not disclosed.

The previous owner, Charles G. Tate Jr., bought the house in 2003 for $1.13 million, according to records on file at Portsmouth Town Hall.
