Portsmouth Woman Stole More Than $10K: Cops
The Portsmouth woman also fraudulently obtained more than $500 in public assistance, police said.
PORTSMOUTH, RI — A Portsmouth woman stole more than $10,000, police said.
Dayanne Costa, 36, was arrested shortly after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on charges of obtaining more than $10,000 under false pretenses, fraudulently obtaining more than $500 of public assistance and providing false documents to a public official, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
"The arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation," the release said.
