Council To Discuss Demolishing Elmhurst Chapel Monday

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Portsmouth Town Hall.

The Portsmouth Town Council will once again debate demolishing the Elmhurst Chapel and Music Room at Monday's meeting at Town Hall.

According to the agenda, the council will hear a "Request to Consider Retention of Elmhurst Chapel and Music Room."

In June, the council voted to give residents four months to come up with a plan to save the Elmhurst Chapel and Music Room from demolition. The chapel is located next to the former Elmhurst Elementary School.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin at 7 p.m.
