Custom House Seeks to Expand Hours, Serve Liquor Outdoors
Custom House Coffee will appear at a hearing this Monday at Town Hall.

Custom House Coffee, located at West Main Road and King Charles Drive in Portsmouth, is seeking to expand its hours of operation and serve alcohol drinks outside on the patio.Â
"We want to offer drinks like mimosas during breakfast and we can't do that now," said co-owner Mark Libby.Â
Custom House will appear at a hearing this Monday before the Portsmouth Town Council. The regular council meeting begins at 7 p.m. Â
The coffee shop owners, which were granted a liquor license for the first time earlier this year, will seek approval to expand its service area to the stone terrace with fireplace and arbor on south side of the existing building.
The owners will also seek approval to serve alcohol from the hours of 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. They are currently restricted to serve only between noon and 9 p.m.Â
What do you think about the request? Should the town council approve the changes? Tell us your thoughts in the comment section below.Â
