Gridiron Club To Hold Second Annual Helicopter Golf Ball Drop

The Portsmouth Gridiron Club will hold its Helicopter Golf Ball Drop again this year. 

This year's drop will take place on Saturday, Sept. 28, at noon at the Portsmouth High School football field, prior to the homecoming game.  

The first place prize is $1,000. The second place is $500, while third place is $250. The fourth through 10th place prizes are $100 for the balls closest to the pin.  

A randomly pre-selected ball recipient will also have an opportunity to win $20,000 if their ball is the closest to the pin. 

Tickets are $15 each or two or more for $10 each. Tickets can be purchased at West Main Pizza, Clements' Market, Agway, The Beach House, or online at www.myphsfootball.net.
