HGTV Unveils 2021 Dream Home In Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, RI — Now's your chance to win your own waterfront hideaway. HGTV recently unveiled the completed 2021 HGTV Dream House, situated right here in Portsmouth.

2021 marks the 25th anniversary of the giveaway, the network's first and largest annual giveaway. This year's package includes the fully furnished house, as well as a motor home and $250,000. The contest starts Dec. 28 and runs through Feb. 17.

"We knew we had to pick a location that would wow our viewers for the 25th anniversary, and Newport has every element a destination needs to provide that including natural beauty, aspirational lifestyle and decadent architecture," said Brian Patrick Flynn, the home's interior designer. "Every detail about the home, from the construction to the design elements, capture the spirit of Newport and the grandness of the HGTV Dream Home, making our 25th home the most impressive yet."

The location of the house was announced in October. At that time, the home was still under construction. The latest photos show the finished product, complete with furnishings, outdoor furniture and even a mural in the garage.

The home is a three-story, Cape Cod-style residence with four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and two half-baths. The design follows a nautical theme, featuring deep reds and blues alongside neutrals. It will be featured in a one-hour special on HGTV on New Year's Day at 8 p.m.

Dream Home hopefuls can enter twice daily on HGTV's website from 9 a.m. Dec. 28 through 5 p.m. Feb. 17.
