Lane Restrictions Wednesday on East Main Road for Water Main Repair
A portion of the road from Park Avenue to Sprague Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
PORTSMOUTH, RI—A water main repair project will cause some travel disruptions on East Main Road on Wednesday.
The Portsmouth Water and Fire District is notifying motorists that traffic heading both north and south will be restricted to one lane between Park Avenue and Sprague Street.
Traffic will be impacted from around 7 a.m. until 8 p.m., according to the water and fire district.

"Motorists are advised that construction vehicles will be entering and leaving the area," the district said in a news release. "Motorists are encourage to seek alternative routes."
