MA Man Charged With Soliciting Child For Sex In Portsmouth
Portsmouth police say John Magee, 28, of Wareham, Massachusetts, tried to engage in sex acts with a girl and offered her marijuana.

PORTSMOUTH, RI — A Massachusetts man was arrested in Portsmouth last week after police said he tried to entice a child to engage in sex acts with him.
John Magee, 28, of Wareham, Massachusetts, was arrested Thursday and was charged with indecent solicitation of a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and weapons other than firearms prohibited.
According to police, Magee traveled to Portsmouth to engage in sex acts with a girl and provide her marijuana. Police said detectives found Magee on East Main Road and pulled him over near the Portsmouth Plaza. Police said officers seized several knives, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia during the traffic stop.

Magee was arraigned in Second Division District Court. He was released on $5,000 bail with personal recognizance.
