MA Woman Drives Drunk With Toddler In Car: Portsmouth Police
Portsmouth police accuse Dara Dupre, 24, of Fall River, Massachusetts, of drunken driving with a 2-year-old child in the car.

PORTSMOUTH, RI — A Massachusetts woman was arrested Friday in Portsmouth after police said she drove drunk with a 2-year-old child in the car.
Dara Dupre, 24, of Fall River, Massachusetts, was charged with driving under the influence of liquor or drugs with a child under 13 as a passenger.
Around 7:22 p.m., Portsmouth police said they saw a Volkswagen Tiguan speeding on East Main Road. Police said they pulled over the driver, identified as Dupre, and noticed several signs of alcohol impairment, including a strong odor from her breath. A 2-year-old child was also found in a car seat in the back of the vehicle, police said.

Officers issued field sobriety tests to Dupre and then arrested her. Police said she submitted to a chemical breath test, which she failed.
Dupre is scheduled to be arraigned at Second Division District Court on Thursday.
