Portsmouth High To Host Open House For Parents
An open house for parents will be held Thursday night in the new gym.

Portsmouth High School will hold an open house for all parents this Thursday at 6 p.m. in the new gym.
All parents and guardians are welcome to attend.
The program will begin with a brief presentation by Principal Robert Littlefield on what’s new at the school, a summary of graduation requirements, recent test scores, and preparations for the transition to Common Core State Standards.

At 7 p.m., parents will begin an abbreviated eight-period “school day” where they will have the opportunity to follow student schedules and hear about what will be expected of students this school year.
In addition, parents may pick up information from booster organizations, athletic teams, clubs and other extra-curricular activities.

While the evening will not include individual parent/teacher conferences, parents will have the opportunity for private meetings with teachers on Nov. 21.
