Portsmouth Man Charged With Possessing Child Pornography

Portsmouth police say Stephen Farrea, 34, of Portsmouth, was caught with pictures of sexually explicit conduct between minors.

PORTSMOUTH, RI — A Portsmouth man was arrested Friday after police said he was caught with child pornography.

Stephen Farrea, 34, of Portsmouth, was charged with possession of child pornography and was arraigned in Second Division District Court.

On April 12, Portsmouth officers began investigating Farrea after receiving credible information he may possess child pornography. Police said they got a warrant and searched his home and electronic devices. Police said they seized pictures of sexually explicit conduct between minors.

Farrea was ordered held on $5,000 bail with surety.
