Portsmouth Woman Charged with Domestic Murder
Police arrested a 57-year-old Portsmouth woman who allegedly shot and killed a man in her East Main Road apartment Monday night.
PORTSMOUTH, RI—A 69-year-old Portsmouth was shot dead in an East Main Road apartment on Monday night and a Portsmouth woman is facing charges of domestic murder, police said.
Lisa Almeida-Laureanno, of 3028 East Main Road, was arrested after police responded to her address for a report of a man shot with a firearm at around 7:17 p.m.
Almeida-Laureanno was at the scene along with the 69-year-old victim, police said.

The homicide is under investigation by Portsmouth police, the Attorney General’s Office and the State Medical Examiner, according to a news release.
The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.
