Where to Donate Food This Holiday Season in Portsmouth

Here's where you can donate food items to those in need this holiday season.

Many local families go hungry during the holiday season, but that can be prevented thanks to donations collected by local organizations. 

This holiday season, many local organizations are collecting food items (such as canned goods) to help those families in need.

Here's a look at where you can donate in town and what's needed in your community. 

  • Portsmouth United Methodist Church, 2732 East Main Rd, Portsmouth. Volunteers needed and donations of food, turkeys and pies. 
  • Highpoint Salon and Spa, Portsmouth, RI, 200 Highpoint Ave, Portsmouth is joining Spalon Salon, 770 Aquidneck Ave., Middletown in collecting items needed. Please consider donating any of these items: turkey voucher, gift cards, stuffing mix, gravy, canned vegetables, cranberry sauce, canned yams, boxed potatoes, soups, corn bread, mixes and monetary donations. Last day to donate is Nov. 23 at 10 a.m.
