Johnston Drunken Driver Fled From Accident, Arrested Later At Home: Cops
Troopers headed to the Johnston woman's house after the crash, police said.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A drunken driver left the scene of an accident in Providence but was arrested at her Johnston home, police said.
Kelly Lechman, 43, was arrested shortly after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs, refusal to submit to a chemical test and duty to stop in accidents resulting in damage to a vehicle.
Rhode Island State troopers headed to Lechman's Colony Drive home "after she left the scene of an accident on Route 95 North in the City of Providence" and arrested her, the state police said in a media release.

Lechman was processed, arraigned and "released into the custody of a responsible adult," the release said.
