Wanted Coventry Forged Check Passer Captured: Cops
The Coventry man was wanted in Massachusetts, police said.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A phony paper passer from Coventry wanted in Massachusetts was captured in Providence, police said.
Corey Johnson, 36, was arrested after he was pulled over on Carpenter Street about 10:30 p.m. Friday, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Johnson was arrested as a fugitive from justice from Attleboro, Massachusetts, according to the release.

He was wanted on an original charge of passing forged checks, the release said.
Johnson was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutes' Men's Intake Center, according to the release.
