Providence Man Failed To Stop For Accident With Injury: Cops

The Providence man was arrested at his home following an investigation, police said

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man failed to stop for an accident involving an injury and damage to a vehicle, police said.

Jesus Fernandez, 33, was arrested shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday and charged with duty to stop in an accident resulting in personal injury and failure to stop in an accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

"This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle crash investigation and Fernandez being located at his residence," according to the release.

"Fernandez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released pending a future date at the Sixth Division District Court," the release said.
