Joseph C. Carchia Sr., 66: Army Veteran of Vietnam

Joseph C. Carchia Sr., 66, resident of North Smithfield, died May 20, 2013, at the Home & Hospice Care of RI, in Providence. He was the husband to Marla (O’Hara) Carchia.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Joseph Carchia Jr. of Woonsocket; Jennie and May Carchia, both of North Smithfield; a brother, Richard Carchia; and sisters, Donna Petrozzi, Carlene Salvaggio, Theresa Carchia and Ann Marie Covais.

A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday at 10 am in the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veteran’s Cemetery in Exeter. Calling hours will be held prior to the service, from 8:30 to 10 am.
