Wanted MA Shoplifter Apprehended After Accident In Smithfield: Cops
The Webster resident was involved in a motor vehicle accident in Smithfield, police said.
SMITHFIELD, RI — A Massachusetts man wanted in connection with a Smithfield shoplifting case was captured following a motor vehicle accident in that town, police said.
Joseph Polouski, 55, was arrested shortly after 2 p.m. Friday on a warrant charging him with shoplifting, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Polouski was apprehended following an accident on Interstate 295 in Smithfield, according to the release.

"Polouski was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to the Smithfield Police Department," the release said.
