
Movies tonight - The Crossing at Smithfield is inviting their shoppers to enjoy outdoor “Family Movie Nights” every Monday night in July. Tonight's movie is "Madagascar 3" movie showings will take place at the gazebo on a giant inflatable screen for the ultimate in outdoor family viewing. Movies will begin around 8 p.m. Beginning at 6 p.m. there will be face painting, outdoor music, and refreshments from some of the center restaurants for moviegoers to enjoy.
Public Hearing Tuesday - The Smithfield Town Council will host a public hearing at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 64 Farnum Pike, on proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map for property owned by Churchill & Banks Properties, LLC, Walter Patterson, and Robert J. Moreau, Jr., located at 355 Putnam Pike and Esmond Street.
Amendments to the Planned Development district are proposed for the subject property only and involve adding additional permitted uses to the district, amending dimensional and density standards, parking, landscaping, signage, circulation, and building area.
Music Tuesday - Tuesday, from 6 to 8 p.m., weather permitting, The Crossings at Smithfield will present The One Foot In band at the industrial park's gazebo. Bring a blanket.

Zoning Wednesday - The Smithfield Zoning Board of Review will hold public hearings Wednesday, 7 p.m. at Smithfield Town Hall, 64 Farnum Pike. Among the items on their agenda, they'll consider a special use permit for 3 Industrial Drive, to operate a dog daycare with grooming and kennel services in an industrial district.
