Monday Essentials: Free Entertainment, Police Recruit, Give Blood, Aid Elders

Movie Mondays - Free movies will begin around 8pm and guests are invited to arrive at 6pm to enjoy a fun night out. Admission to the movies will be free but families are asked to bring a nonperishable food item to donate to the Smithfield Food Bank. All movie nights are weather permitting and updates on events can be found on The Crossing at Smithfield Facebook website. This week, come prepared to see Annie.

Music Tuesdays - Each Tuesday this summer, free music concerts are held from 6-8pm on June 18 at The Crossing at Smithfield. This Tuesday, check out the Jesse Liam Band's rock an pop tunes.

Sign up with the SPD - The Smithfield Police Department is seeking qualified candidates to establish a one year eligibility list. Apply at their website.

Give blood Friday - On Friday, Aug. 30, the Rhode Island Blood Center will hold a blood drive in Cortland Place, Lounge, 20 Austin Ave, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. No appointment necessary.

Help elders out all week - The Smithfield Senior Center is looking for Volunteers to deliver meals to the homebound in Smithfield. For more information, please contact Ann St. Laurent in the mealsite at 949-4590 ext. 25.
