An airman from North Smithfield was killed Friday during a non-combat related incident, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.
Master Sgt. David L. Poirier, 52, was assigned to the 157th Operations Support Squadron stationed at the Pease Air National Guard Base in Portsmouth, NH.
Details of Poirier's death, including where the incident occurred, have not been released and the incident remains under investigation.
