State Trooper Log: DUI on Rte. 295, Court Scofflaw

Emergency calls for erratic driver on 295 lead to DUI arrest
At 9:10 p.m. Aug. 11, Troopers arrested Lauren Fusaro, age 33, 22 Timberwolf Drive Cumberland RI for DUI 2ND Offense .15 or Greater. (PHASE I .230, PHASE II .217).
The arrest was the result of several 911 calls to State Police Headquarters regarding an erratic operator on Route 295 North in Smithfield and subsequent motor vehicle stop on Diamond Hill Road in Cumberland. Fusaro was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and held overnight pending arraignment in the morning.

Troopers arrest man for failing to appear on marijuana possession charge
On Aug. 9, at 7:36 a.m., Troopers arrested Joshua Gilmete, age 23, of 63 Fuller Ave., Central Falls, RI for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to pay hearing on the original charge of Possession of Marijuana, 1st Offense originating out of Smithfield Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in Warwick. Gilmete was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and later turned over to Third District Court.
