Comedy Fundraiser for Little Compton Firefighters on Saturday

Support Little Compton firefighters and enjoy a night of comedy at the annual fundraiser for the local union on Saturday.

Residents are invited to Brantal's Restaurant & Pub in Tiverton on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. for a comedy event and benefit. The  yearly fundraiser will feature premiere comedians from Boston Comedy Connection.

"It's a great opportunity to get out for a couple of hours, get some laughs and get your mind off of things," said Paul Williams, of  the fundraising organizer. "The money raised helps run various community programs."

Williams organizes similar annual event for the Tiverton Police Department and the Tiverton Fire Department.

On Saturday comedians Dave Andrews and Jay Rodrigues will bring big laughs and all proceeds from the even will be donated to the local firefighters union. Tickets cost $10.

Appetizers will be available and there will be a cash bar.

Donors who participated in the Little Compton Fire Departments fall fundraising campaign between October and November, 2012 received complementary tickets to Saturday's event.
