
Tiverton police made the following arrests recently.
- A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Nov. 5 at 9:59 a.m. at Tiverton High School. The arrest stemmed from an incident that was reported on Oct. 25. The boy was charged with disorderly conduct.
- A Providence man was arrested on Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. for allegedly driving around with drugs. Police say they arrested Luis Torres, 18, of 513 Hartford Ave., Apt. 3, Providence. Torres was charged with drug possession and driving in possession of a controlled substance.
- A 36-year-old Tiverton resident was arrested after allegedly making prank phone calls to a Tiverton woman. Police arrested Teira Tar, 36, of 870 Brayton Road, Tiverton, on Nov. 8 at 1:40 p.m. Tar was charged with making obscene phone calls.
- A Tiverton man was arrested on Nov. 8 for allegedly possessing drugs. Robert J. Rancourt, 23, of 24 Evergreen Ave., Tiverton, was arrested on Nov. 8 at 8:02 p.m. at an Evergreen Avenue residence not far from his home. Rancourt was wanted on two bench warrants from Second District Court at the time of his arrest. He was also charged with two counts of drug possession.
- A Fall River, MA, resident was also arrested on Nov. 8 at the same time and location as Rancourt. Natercia Camara, 32, of 670 Bedford St., Apt. 2, Fall River, MA, was arrested on Nov. 8 at 5 Evergreen Ave., Tiverton. Camara was charged with driving in possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana under one ounce, a citation.
- A Portsmouth man was arrested at Tom's Market this week on a bench warrant. Joshua Kiefer Woods, 21, of 86 Norseman Drive, Portsmouth, was arrested on a bench warrant at the supermarket on Nov. 10 at 6:35 p.m. He was also charged with obstruction of an officer in the execution of duty.
- A Tiverton man was charged with simple assault after allegedly becoming involved in a fight at his home. Police arrested Norman Escobar, 48, of 161 Furey Ave., Tiverton, at his home on Nov. 10 at 7:27 p.m. Escobar was charged with simple assault. He was also wanted on a warrant at the time of his arrest.
