Marine Task Force Dispatched for Report of Kayaker in Distress
Crews responded for a water rescue in the Sakonnet River on Tuesday.
TIVERTON, RI—The Narragansett Bay Marine Task Force was dispatched after a report of a missing kayaker or boater in distress in the Sakonnet River on Tuesday.
The call came in around 5:40 p.m. and crews from Portsmouth and Tiverton were able to help two people in distress in roughly 20 minutes.
