UPDATE: Tiverton High School Evacuated After Threat Made

Tiverton High School is being evacuated this morning after a threat was made, according to Tiverton Police.

Tiverton police said no one was injured and there is no present danger, but confirmed the high school is being evacuated on Thursday morning after a threat was made.

Police were dispatched to the scene at 10:06 a.m. Capt. Patrick Jones of the Tiverton Police Department would not comment as to the nature of the threat, but said students and faculty were evacuating.

"I cannot confirm why, but no one was injured, there is not a threat, but we are evacuating the high school at this time given that a threat that was made," said Jones.

According to Rhode Island Breaking News Source's Twitter feed, Tiverton Engine 3, Car 3, and Car 1 were dispatched to Tiverton High school for a reported bomb scare at 10:06 a.m.

The school department is making arrangements with the First Student, the bus company, to bring students home.
