Tiverton Police: 19-Year-Old Local Man Charged With Heroin Possession
Police apprehended a 19-year-old Tiverton man in his home on Jan. 10 after a one-month investigation.
A 19-year-old Tiverton man was arrested on multiple drug charges in his State Avenue apartment last Thursday.
Joey Daanuinciacao, of 333 State Ave. Apt. 3FL, was arrested on Jan. 10 at 1:27 p.m. and charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance. According to Tiverton Police records, officers found both heroin and lorazepam in Daanuinciacao's apartment.
Daanuinciacao was taken down after a month-long investigation into drug trafficking. Lt. Michael Carr headed the investigation.

On the day of the raid, Tiverton detectives and patrol officers entered Daanuinciacao's residence - armed with a search warrant and a drug-sniffing canine borrowed from Fall River. Inside the home police found evidence consistent with narcotics transactions to include wax baggies, needles, rubber bands and approx 13 baggies of heroin.
"We do not comment as to the background on investigations," said Capt. Patrick Jones of the Tiverton Police Department.

Daanuinciacao was arraigned and bail was set in the amount of $2,500 with surety.
