Tiverton Police: High School Student Allegedly Caught With Marijuana

High School Student Allegedly Caught With Marijuana

Joshua J. Ferreira, 18, of 399 Judson St., Tiverton, was arrested on Jan. 3 at 8:39 a.m. and charged with possession of marijuana, first offense. The Tiverton High School principal and vice principal allegedly found marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Ferreira around 8:15 a.m. while he was on school grounds. Tiverton Police seized a pipe, a small bowl and a plastic container with marijuana inside. Ferreira was taken into custody and later released.

Pamela A. Levakis, 50, of 173 Russell Drive, Tiverton, was arrested on Jan. 2 at 8:40 a.m. and charged with simple assault. Levakis was wanted on a warrant for an earlier assault and she was picked up by police.

Tiverton Man Faces Multiple Domestic Charges

Christopher A. Celment, 43, of 7 Hooper St., Tiverton, was arrested on Jan. 3 at 4:35 p.m. and charged with domestic disorderly conduct and domestic simple assault. According to police reports, officers responded to Hooper Street for a report of a disturbance where they met with a 45-year-old woman who  said she and her boyfriend were fighting and he had struck her in the arm with a chair during the ensuing argument. Clement was charged and later released by a Justice of the Peace on $1,000 personal recognizance pending a hearing.

Man Charged With Vandalism After Fight

Michael A. Normandin, 36, of 24 Mathew Road, Tiverton was arrested on Jan. 4 at 6 p.m. and charged with vandalism and disorderly conduct. According to reports, police responded to Clement Street to break up a fight. Although the two parties, including Normandin, who were fighting declined to press charges against each other, the landlord of the home the fight started in did. He claimed that during the fight, Normandin had kicked in the front door of the apartment. Normandin was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released on $1,000 personal recognizance.

A Tiverton Man Charged With Smashing Mailbox

Martin Coelho, 35, of 86 Restful Valley Road, Tiverton, was arrested Jan. 4 at 8:01 p.m. and charged with vandalism. Coelho allegedly smashed a mailbox on Rock Street. He also allegedly admitted this involvement to police. He was issued misdemeanor release form with a summons to appear in district court.

Bristol Man Makes Crank, Obscene Phone Calls

Peter G. Nicoletti, 45, of 400 Metacom Ave. Apt. 208, Bristol, was arrested on Jan. 7 at 11:30 a.m. and charged with making crank or obscene phone calls. Police received a complaint on Jan. 2 that Nicoletti was harassing a Tiverton resident via threatening, vulgar text messages. A warrant was prepped for Nicoletti's arrest and he was picked up on the warrant on Jan. 7. He was arraigned in Second Division District Court on Jan. 8 and released on $1,000 personal recognizance.
