Warren rejects proposal to install ‘Flock' camera (wpri.com) — Warren’s Town Council has rejected installing a Flock license-plate camera at Route 136 and Old Market Street after residents raised privacy concerns. State police argued the system could help investigations and public safety, but councilors sided with residents, noting the camera would store plate data for 30 days and is already used in several nearby Rhode Island communities.

Warren DPW workers honored for aiding man who had heart attack (wpri.com) — Five Warren DPW workers were officially honored this week for quickly performing CPR on resident Ed Wujcik after he suffered a massive heart attack at Sip 'N Dip on Market Street last month. Fire and rescue crews say the workers’ fast actions and training directly contributed to his remarkable recovery, and the town council recognized them with formal citations.
   

4. Discover Newport announces six new board members as Gray takes helm (whatsupnewp.com) — Warren is one of nine coastal communities represented by Discover Newport, which just named Portsmouth business owner Matthew Gray as board chair and added six new directors. The tourism agency plans a new strategic vision focused on boosting off-season visits while protecting residents’ quality of life across towns like Warren, Bristol, and Newport.
