Deadly Alligator Attack In South Carolina Under Investigation: Report

BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC — Authorities are investigating a deadly alligator attack after a gator was found guarding a dead body Monday in southeastern South Carolina, according to a report from Live 5 News.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office found the alligator and the body around 11:15 a.m. in the Sun City community, according to the report. The area is located around 20 miles north of Savannah, Georgia.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office did not immediately return an inquiry from Patch.
