A skilled craftsman and a welder by trade, passes away at the age of 61.

Joseph John Grzincic, Jr.

Joseph John Grzincic, Jr., 61, of Iva, SC passed away on July 15, 2023, of heart complications. Joseph was born in Joliet IL, on April 17, 1962, the son of the late Joseph John Sr. and Mary (nee Hrebec) Grzincic.

Joseph was a skilled craftsman who was a welder by trade, and later enjoyed woodworking. Fond of the outdoors, Joseph loved fishing, watching hummingbirds and being at the Fox River with friends. He enjoyed wood trick puzzles, and the game wordscapes. He especially loved dogs and had 5 throughout his marriage with his wife Kathy.

Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Kathy Grzincic; his children, Amber (Eric) Jackson, Christine (Gus) Vergara; his beagle and best friend, “Trixie”; along with four grandchildren; and three fur grandchildren. He is also survived by three siblings, Michael (late Thelma), Mary (John) and Dorothy (Roger); two nieces, Nicole and Sherry Lynn; one nephew, Chris; as well as several great-nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Gathering for Joseph John Grzincic, Jr. will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL, from 3:00 to 7:00p.m. There will be a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. As it was his request, cremation rites have been accorded.
